Zero Tolerance Rules

• You may not be under 18 years old to play
• Exploiting / cheating/hacking z
• Sexual harassment, harassment, and/or bullying
• Stalking/Predatory/creepy behavior towards a member of the community
  Any sort of conduct involving rape/forced sexual conduct

Racism

In the universe, Spring Creek is from there was a very cordial western expansion.

This means there was no racism and everybody lived peacefully among races. With that being said racism is not tolerated and will result in your permanent removal.

Any of the rules above will result in a permanent ban

Roleplaying Guidelines and Definitions

Harassment:

In our immersive roleplaying environment, we strictly prohibit any form of harassment directed towards other players, whether of a sexual nature or otherwise. This includes repeated aggressive behavior or any actions that border on intimidation on an out-of-character (OOC) level. While roleplay (RP) conflicts and in-character (IC) consequences are allowed, if you believe you are facing harassment despite meaningful IC resolutions, open a ticket for staff assistance and mediation.

• Note: Opening a ticket with malicious intent towards another party, without any rule breaks found, may be considered a notable offense at staff discretion.
  

RP Bleed:

RP Bleed refers to the transference of issues, disagreements, or problems from the in-game RP setting to the real-world setting, or vice versa. We encourage separating IC interactions from OOC relationships, as we aim to foster a healthy and safe community. Personal disagreements between players are not subject to staff mediation unless they violate our community guidelines.

Fail RP:

Fail RP occurs when actions in the game are unrealistic or break server rules. Examples include:

• Excessive trash-talking of downed bodies.
• Using a friend or gang member as a hostage.
• Killing survivor locals in Strawberry, Van Horn, and caliga is fail rp. Do not kill the last remaining survivors.
• Using a syringe on yourself is not allowed. If no one comes to pick you up you must see the light. This is considered fail rp, for the fact you are refusing players to give you med rp & refusing to see the light. This is also consider power gaming as you opening your pocket and using a syringe while unconscious.
• Talking about a raid as if it is a friendly sport and not roleplay after a raid ends

Breaking Character

You may not break character and talk ooc while in county This an extension to fail rp.

• You may not talk about year to date events or anything that has nothing to do with the 1800s or events of in county
• You may not walk to someone you know is a staff member and ask staff related questions.
  
  

Metagaming:

Metagaming involves using information in the game that your character has not learned through gameplay, benefiting yourself, your character, or others in your group. Key points include:

• Only using information your character has learned on the server.
• Having muted streams while playing, with no information used from other streams.
• Discord messages are usable only if received in RP, such as through an in-game item.
  
  
  

Exploiting:

The use of in-game exploits to gain advantages over other players or for your character is strictly forbidden. This includes:

• Exploiting bugs or cheats, leading to a server ban.
• Failing to report bugs or exploits can also result in a ban.

Power gaming:

Power gaming entails always seeking to win at any cost or through any means. Examples include:

• Placing a camp storage or chest near mining or farming areas or any POIs
• Whistling for your stolen horse to return.
• Robbing or shooting someone in any menu.
• Using macros for AFK activities, whether fishing, mining, or crafting.
• Being AFK in open areas or on interactable objects.
• Roping a player with a gun pointed at you.
• Depositing your Bank/Raid Robbery Loot in your horse or wagon so people can't access it when the red circle is still up. 
• Breaking the animation during a raid/bank/store/settlement robbery to move locations

General Server Rules

Microphone

We require every player to have a working and clear microphone.
The only Exception is if you are playing a Mute Character which then you are still required to use /Me or Chalkbord to communicate to others.
You must also speak English/Write while playing in Forbidden RP.

Blasting music through your microphone while in the game is considered a failed RP and will result in punishment.

Intoxication
Being intoxicated or under the influence of any drugs does not excuse you from breaking the rules. If a rule is violated you will be punished.

Voice Changers

You may use a voice changer but it may not be drastic and must be used realistically.

Transferring Assets

You cannot transfer items, houses, horses, or pets between your characters. If you decide to DNR (Kill off your character / perma). This includes giving items to a friend to give them your new character. You may not place your character on a will.

Perma Death
Once you kill your character, we are unable to reverse the action. Therefore you will not be able to bring back the character. When permanently killing a character off you must have a doctor confirm the time of death and put your obituary into the death record section. Friends may mourn your death in Rp-appreciation.

Use Of Ops

You may not use ops to id job in county. This is very emersion breaking seeing text floating above a players head. Outfits and words should be the way people find out your profession. 

You can use ops as shifter so people 

Example: Having doctor floating above your head

Torture RP/Erotic RP (ERP)

Torture RP requires consent in the county. The best way to do this so we as staff can help if a report comes through is by /me consenting. If you get uncomfortable with the torture RP you may /me saying something like "passes out” or “wish to withdraw"

Erotic Roleplay is allowed as both parties consent to using /me.

You Must do it in a private setting and not around other players.

You may not run around in the birthday suit(naked) in the county. The birthday suit is used for players to be spicy during ERP. Being caught in public around players who do NOT consent is considered harassment

You must get consent to all players around to do Russian Roulette, this is considered a form a suicide rp and some viewers may not want to be included.

Please do Russian Roulette in a private location and not in the middle of towns.

We do NOT allow pregnancy role-play

Pocket Wiping/Robbing players

Any form of aggression, including robberies, shootings, kidnappings etc, must be preceded by meaningful roleplay interactions. This means survivors must establish a narrative and context to their aggressive actions. Random, unprovoked acts of violence are prohibited. All actions must be justified within the storyline and character development.

Any reports of low quality roleplay or rule breaking will be reviewed by Admins. Recordings of the full interaction are required for low-quality roleplay reports. Repeated offenses may result in warnings, temporary bans, or permanent bans.

• In Forbidden Dead, you are allowed to take up to 5 items on a person. This includes stackable items. If a person is carrying 60 apples and takes the whole stack that counts as 1 item stolen. In the 5 items, you may only take up to 2 guns out of those 5 items. Money also counts as an item. You may only take 5 items per person in a group. Ex: If 4 people are robbing 2 people, you may only take 5 items from each person. The people in your group may not take more than 5 items from each person in the group that you are robbing. As long as there
• You may ONLY rob or kill, not both, UNLESS you are robbing a settlement or bank. The settlement defenders may take money, bags of gold. Players countering banks may take  bags of gold, and money from players they successfully down but nothing more.
• You may not rob downed players at doctor call or that were downed from PVE elements you may run across.
• If you try to rob someone and they NVL you may take 2 items from them after downing them. This would only include ether one weapon and a item or two items.
• Criminals must wait 30 minutes between each robbery to avoid chain robberies. A group of people count as one scene.
• You may not rob someone in the spawn zone or camping the area from someone to leave the spawn zone.
  

Identifying criminal’s
When a crime is committed you cannot identify the criminal based on 

1. Voice if they have on a mask 
2. The horse they ride there can be many horses that look alike. 
3. If their clothes are completely different than what they normally wear.  

Example - If a Criminal robs the Innocent, the Innocent can’t take information that was learned based on voice or horse from running into the Criminal when the criminal is dressed completely differently.  If the Criminal is someone you know but is normally in a blue shirt, black pants, black coat, blue bandana, and a black hat. But decide to commit a crime in a completely different outfit, you can not identify them based on the clothing. You will need more information about the criminal to be able to use that as credible evidence. For example, if the criminal has custom guns, and you see them.  

You can not change clothes for 30 minutes after you commit a crime.  

Dueling
When dueling in the county it is considered an automatic perma if you lose.
You must have a settlement member around to confirm the time of death
You may not duel for fun as this is considered a failed RP.

Body Dumping/Seeing The Light

You may dump dead bodies into the water after 3 aggressive interactions. You may also force people to see the light. Once the 3rd interaction happens and you body dump a player that ends the conflict you had with the player. A new one may organically happen from another instance but the one you had leading up to the body dump ends.
If you are dumped into the water you may not remember anything that happened in the altercation.

Other Players may not get your body if you are dumped.

This does not count in raids, in raids you may force people to see the light in order to get them to forget the raid and not use against you in later roleplay.

NLR (New Life Rule)

Being Revived By A Player
If you are revived by a syringe, or any other tool used by a player to get revived while down, you can remember the events that have led up to the point.

Here are examples of what kills your memory:

Syringe/Witches Potion/Vitality Potion= You remember everything

Jarvis= You will forget the last 30 minutes after Jarvis Revives you (Example: You were gunned down and someone aided you by bringing you back to Jarvis, you would forget the gunfight leading up to Jarvis reviving) 

Body Dumped in water = You will forget everything that happened

Seeing The Light = You will forget everything that happened 

Note: If a player is in clothing you do not recognize you may not voice ID them.

Difference between Downed & Dead- Downed means downed (unconscious)   Dead means you are perma'd

Baiting Doctors

You may NOT do /alertdoctor to set someone up and rob them. You may only use Alert Doctor when you are downed and need somebody to come and help you.

Use of Jarvis or Respawning
When respawning you will not be allowed to remember 30 minutes before your respawn
Someone may tell you how you died but if you died without anyone around then you will not be able to remember anything.

Jarvis is an NPC doctor at each Safe zone. If you use Jarvis you will not remember 30 minutes before you are downed.

Robbery Upon Down:

• If a player successfully downs another player in Mexico, they are entitled to rob them of all the items in their pockets. This adds an extra layer of risk to the already volatile atmosphere, as losing in combat may result in losing valuable possessions to other players

Taking the Light: 

If you’re downed and take the light YOU MAY NOT REMEMBER any interaction that took place.

Use Of Pinboards

The use of pinboards are only allowed to be used for business deals aka finding business employees from a business and posting ads for a business settlements may post laws if they have "protected by..." . The pinboards are not to be used for gang/beefs that occur in the county. This is to avoid unnecessary toxicity in the county. 

Flying Items

You may not use any flying type of item like hot balloon, ufo or any the server has provided to escape raids. These items are only to be used for traveling and roleplay.

The server rules are subject to continuous updates and modifications. All players need to be aware that rules may change, and the most recent version might not always be reflected on the website. Rule alterations, additions, or deletions may occur through various channels, including the Change Log or Rule Change notifications on Discord.

Player Responsibility: Read and Understand

Players are strongly encouraged to regularly check the designated channels on Discord for any rule updates or changes. It is the player's responsibility to stay informed about the current server rules. Ignorance of updated rules will not be considered a valid excuse for any rule violations.

Discretionary Punishment: Staff Authority

The Staff Team holds the authority to enforce rules and mete out punishments as deemed necessary. The severity of penalties for rule violations is at the sole discretion of the Staff Team. Players are expected to respect and abide by the rules to maintain a fair and enjoyable gaming environment for everyone.

Stay Informed, Play Responsibly

In the dynamic and evolving landscape of the server, staying informed about rule changes is crucial. Players are advised to actively participate in community discussions, review Discord announcements, and check for updates in the Change Log. By doing so, players contribute to a harmonious gaming experience and help create a vibrant and engaging roleplaying community.
